Campers will explore multiple art mediums and develop new skills through engaging projects designed to build their abilities. Every day is packed with creativity and fun!

5-6 campers per teacher. This camp is led by passionate Slowfire Art instructors and talented Penny Lane Music teachers.

🎨 Two 75-90 Minute Art Classes
Led by Slowfire Art Staff, focusing on painting, drawing, ceramics, and fun, hands-on crafts.

🎸 45-Minute Music Class

Grades 3 & 4: Learn the ukulele with Mr. Shane of Penny Lane Music!
Grades 1 & 2: Engage in lively hand drumming sessions.
(No prior music experience needed!)

🌳 90-Minute Lunch Break & Outdoor Play
Campers enjoy lunch and activities at nearby Scoville Park. 

🎲 Games, Crafts, & the AMAZING BLOCK ROOM
A chance to unwind, play, and bond with friends in a creative space!

🚐 Hop aboard Vincent Van-GO, our art van! Weather permitting, we’ll visit local parks, the library, and splash pads.

Art & Music Camp 8:30-4

Grades 3-6

Campers are divided into three small age-based groups, ensuring lessons are tailored to their level. Each group rotates through exciting projects and amazing instructors, offering a dynamic and personalized experience every day.

5-6 campers per teacher. This camp is led by dedicated Slowfire teachers  alongside talented Penny Lane Music instructors.

Daily Schedule (Order varies by group)
🎸 90-Minute Rock Band Class
Taught by Mr. Shane of Penny Lane Music. No prior experience needed! Students explore new instruments—drums, bass, guitar, piano—and work on vocals as they jam together.

🎨 90-Minute Art Class
Led by Slowfire Art Staff, focusing on painting, drawing, and fun, hands-on crafts.

🌳 90-Minute Lunch Break & Outdoor Play
Campers enjoy lunch and outdoor activities at nearby Fox Park.

🛠️ 90-Minute Ceramics Class
Hands-on clay exploration with Slowfire Art Staff, perfect for budding sculptors.

🎲 Games, Crafts, & Group Fun
Time to unwind and bond with friends through creative and playful activities.

Ceramics Camps 1-5pm

Week-Long Ceramics Intensive

Max: 6 students, min: 4 students 

Get ready to dive into the world of clay with dedicated Slowfire Teachers. This hands-on class will teach you how to throw on the wheel and master handbuilding techniques. The last two days will focus on handbuilding, sculpture, surface design and glazing. Whether you’re making functional pottery or sculptural art, you'll have the chance to explore it all. We encourage students to sign up for multiple weeks to keep the creativity flowing!

The Learning Specialist x Slowfire

Art and Music Enrichment Afternoons!
Noon-4pm 1st-5th grade

Students will build confidence and explore their artistic side through a dynamic mix of projects featuring painting, drawing, collaging, crafting, and ceramics. New this year, campers may choose to participate in 45-minute ukulele sessions three times a week with Penny Lane Music, adding rhythm and energy to the camp! Our programs are tailored to all skill levels, and with a small teacher-to-student ratio, every project is designed to inspire and grow with your child.

What’s the Daily Routine?
🌞 Start with outdoor time to get the wiggles out! Enjoy a walk, games at the park, or just soak up the sunshine.
🎶🎸 Strum along! Ukulele lessons will be offered three times a week with Mr Shane of Penny Lane Music, bringing musical fun to the afternoons.
🎨 Dive into creative projects! Our staff will guide students through hands-on art lessons and activities.
🎲 Mix it up! Afternoons include crafts, games, LEGOs, the BLOCK ROOM, and mini-adventures.
