Bake & Create with Chef Kristi! Get ready for a delicious adventure in the kitchen! Join Chef Kristi and discover the magic of baking and pastry-making as you whip up irresistible treats from scratch. In this hands-on camp with no more than 6 campers, young bakers will: 🍪 Master cookie doughs and craft perfectly baked cookies. 🍞 Mix and bake quick sweet breads that are as fun to make as they are to eat. 🎂 Design, bake, and decorate a show-stopping layer cake from start to finish! Along the way, kids will gain essential kitchen skills like measuring ingredients, handling tools, prepping like a pro, and safely using the stove and oven. Plus, they’ll get to enjoy their creations and bring home tasty treats to share! Held in the beautiful Slowfire Grove kitchen, this camp is the perfect place to learn, create, and have fun with food. JUNE 9-13 1-5pm Chef Kristi Location: 629 S Grove Ave, Oak Park Ages 8-11 Max: 6 students We are a tech free zone and ask that campers not bring handheld gaming devices. Any cell phones or Apple Watches should be tucked away in a backpack. With a low Student/Teacher ratio, comprised of dedicated teachers and professors, the student class size is perfect to advance skillsets, while also creating a safe learning environment. While we teach excellent technique and form, we also aim to empower students in their authentic voice/artistry. Our teaching styles are inclusive and welcoming. We are an LGBTQ+ friendly space. To secure your spot in camp, a $100 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is required. The remaining balance will be invoiced on May 1. If the balance is not paid by May 10, the student’s spot in camp will be forfeited.
