Slowfire Summer Camp: Creative Fun in Small Groups! Camp Structure: Campers are divided into two age-based groups, ensuring lessons are tailored to their abilities. Each group rotates through exciting projects and expert-led activities, providing a personalized and dynamic experience daily. Teacher-to-Camper Ratio: 5-6 campers per teacher. This camp is led by passionate Slowfire Art instructors and talented Penny Lane Music teachers. Location: The Children's School, 820 Ontario St, Oak Park Drop-Off & Pick-Up: Morning Drop-Off: 8:30-9 AM at the Main Entrance Afternoon Pick-Up: 3:30-4:00 PM at the Main Entrance Daily Schedule (Order varies by group) 🎨 Two 75-90 Minute Art Classes Led by Slowfire Art Staff, focusing on painting, drawing, ceramics, and fun, hands-on crafts. 🎸 45-Minute Music Class Grades 3 & 4: Learn the ukulele with Mr. Shane of Penny Lane Music! Grades 1 & 2: Engage in lively hand drumming sessions. (No prior music experience needed!) 🌳 90-Minute Lunch Break & Outdoor Play Campers enjoy lunch and activities at nearby Scoville Park. 🎲 Games, Crafts, & the AMAZING BLOCK ROOM A chance to unwind, play, and bond with friends in a creative space! 🚐 Hop aboard Vincent Van-GO, our art van! Weather permitting, we’ll visit local parks, the library, and splash pads. Why Choose Slowfire Camp? Campers will explore multiple art mediums and develop new skills through engaging projects designed to build their abilities. Every day is packed with creativity and fun! Tech-Free Zone: Please refrain from bringing handheld gaming devices. Cell phones and Apple Watches should remain tucked in backpacks during camp hours. Registration Details: A $100 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is required to reserve your spot.
