Service Description
*Class for Beginner or Intermediate Student. Students will learn (or continue to learn) the foundational skills of ceramics. This class covers skills such as wedging and handbuilding with small tools. It will delve deeper into use of large tools such as the extruder and the slab roller. Perhaps the most exciting part will be the intro to the wheel or the continuation of the wheel if you have already taken classes! Students should bring an apron and rags to class. Ages 10-14 Taught by Tyler Mondays 4:00-6:00 PM 04/29, 05/06, 05/13, 05/20, 05/27 All materials (clay & glazes) and associated costs ( clay recycling, kiln firings, and glaze firings) included in the cost of the class. With a low Student/Teacher ratio, comprised of dedicated teachers and professors, the student class size is perfect to advance skillsets, while also creating a safe learning environment. While we teach excellent technique and form, we also aim to empower students in their authentic voice/artistry. Our teaching styles are inclusive and welcoming. We are an LGBTQ+ friendly space.
