Do you have a birthday coming up? Slowfire can host your birthday party! This past weekend we hosted a 12 year old that enjoys sweet things and Harry Potter so Slowfire created a Sweet Treats party for her and her friends with a Harry Potter theme. The menu included a warm, foamy Butterbeer, chocolate frogs with marshmallow filling, and pastry cream-filled eclairs dipped in chocolate ganache. The kids all took turns in making their treats and therefore learned how to temper chocolate for their frogs and eclairs, make a Pate a choux to create a light-as-air pastry, and mixed up a rich, custardy pastry cream to fill their eclairs. It was a jam-packed and fun way to spend an afternoon!
